Oliver's first week at home!

Well, it's been a heck of a week around the Jacobson household! Little Oliver is adapting well to his new house, his curious dogs and his loving parents. The day after we left the hospital we had a nurse visit us in our home for a check-up. All of Oliver's vitals were great and he had gained weight but he had a small case of Jaundice. The nurse suggested that we get a Bili light bed to help quickly clear up the Jaundice. For those of you who don't know what a light bed is....you're lucky. It was basically a mini tanning bed for babies. Sounds luxurious right? Wrong. It was miserable for everyone! Our poor little boy had to lay in this bed for 2 days straight, only coming out to nurse or be changed. The first day he cried for hours and hours and it broke my heart :( My hormones didn't help the matter much either. I think I cried just as much as he did. We're out of the woods now though! Thank goodness! Since then things have been wonderful! We took our first walk...had our first sponge bath...read our first book...hung out with the grandparents...and took lots of pictures!! Enjoy :)
